Katja checked into the room to take her own life. As she prepares an envelope with money for the person who will find her, she is interrupted by Livia, who is seeking refuge from her drunk and angry boyfriend Ronny. While they are waiting together for Ronny to fall asleep, Livia finds out what Katja is up to. The two women, who meet each other in such a vulnerable moment, find a connection that will change their outlook on life.

Born in Zurich, Switzerland, Liliane Ott moved to Auckland, New Zealand as a teenager to study film. After returning to Switzerland, she worked in film and theatre - switching between producing, writing, and directing. She produced Kit Hung's films, "Soundless Wind Chime" and "Stoma," and co-created the collective documentary "Les Nouvelles Èves.” Her company, Kalliopeia Productions, is dedicated to developing and producing thought-provoking, high-quality productions in various formats.

Talkhon Hamzavi is a director & screenwriter. Her Master's degree film "Parvaneh" was screened at many international festivals and won awards including the Student Academy Award and the First Steps Award, as well as a nomination for an Oscar in 2015. In 2020 she participated in the Screenplay Workshop Munich. She is currently working on the series project "Sheherezade", together with Liliane Ott, with which she is participating in the Torino SeriesLab 2023.

Fariba, a young woman with Iranian roots, hires callboy Dave with a hidden scheme: He is to appear as her fiancé in front of her parents. The deeper Dave is drawn into this role, the more complex the demands become. Discussions about his fee arise as he realizes the true implications of his role. "Callboy" is a Comedy that humorously explores cultural conflicts and the pursuit of happiness.

Jessy Moravec is a Swiss-Slovenian director, screenwriter, actress and producer,. In 2018, she won the Swiss Film Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role. Since 2013, she has increasingly worked behind the camera, producing a number of award-winning short films and music videos. In addition to "Hotel Excelsior", her current projects include feature films such as "Waters of Forgetfulness" and "Animata".
Martin Skalsky - Writer, Director

Martin Skalsky is a director, film composer, author and producer. As music composer for film, he scored numerous award-winning projects, including the Oscar-nominated short film "Ala Kachuu". "Cody - the dog days are over" was his feature film debut as a director. Since then, he has also increasingly worked as a director and producer.
